Floral Bliss #33

This week I'll share with you a bunch of miscellaneous flowers that are blooming right now.

The first is a funny plant, Dipsacus fullonum - Laidunkarstaohdake,
a biennial that self sows where it likes.

Eryngium giganteum - Hohtopiikkiputki
I love this Eryngium alpinum - Alppipiikkiputki.

Aconitum napellus, Lavatera thuringiaca, Ligularia przewalskii start blooming too.
Ukonhattu, harmaamalvikki ja valtikkanauhus aloittelevat myös.

Sedum spurium - Kaukaasianmaksaruoho

Rosa rugosa 'Schneekoppe / Snow Pavement' shows some blooms

Unknown Astilbe - Tuntematon jaloangervo

    Edith

Riita, I love all your blooms, the first ones are so striking. Are the thistles? But the Rose is stunning. Almost paperlike. Thank you for hosting!

Your flower images are outstanding. Your first image of the Dipsacus fullonum, looks as though it has its own flower headband! Loving your delicate pink rose and Astilbe.

The flowers in your last image are lovely. I would love to have both of these plants in my garden. Hope you get some sun soon.:)

  16. Hello Riitta! Beautiful all the blossoms, but I love so much the look of blue Eryngium alpinum (and you know what? I just can imagine how it can look this in sepia and b&w **-**); for sure, never seen before such a inflorescences of the plant I think... and all of them are really interesting to observe in nature.
